Welcome our intern, Michelle, to the practice!

I'm Michelle (she/her/hers). I'm a graduate student at Wayne State University finishing up my M.A. in Counseling Psychology. I am excited to partner with Courage and Care Counseling to provide mental health services to children under 10, and adults either in person or via telehealth.

I am an eclectic therapist and use many modalities to best help my clients. I believe that therapy should be tailored to the individual based on their unique identity, experiences, and needs, rather than utilizing a "one-size-fits-all" approach. I use a client-centered, humanistic framework which includes existentialism, feminist theory, person-centered therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and can include behavioral approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy.
